Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Beverage Packaging
What types of beverage packaging can you manufacture?
Vigor Packaging manufactures custom beverage packaging for wine, spirits, bottled beverages, beer cans, coffee, tea and beverage gift sets.
Available options include rigid gift boxes, folding cartons, bottle carriers, can carriers, corrugated boxes, fabric wine bags, cup sleeves and multi-bottle presentation packaging. The structure, dimensions, materials, printing and finishes can be customized according to the product and sales channel.
Can you design packaging for different bottle and can sizes?
Yes. Packaging can be designed around the exact diameter, height, weight and closure of a bottle or can. We can develop structures for individual bottles, multiple cans, double-bottle sets and combinations containing a beverage with glasses or accessories.
A physical product sample or accurate technical drawing is recommended for heavy, tapered or unusually shaped containers.
How do you protect glass beverage bottles during transportation?
Glass bottles can be protected using reinforced paperboard, corrugated structures, internal dividers, molded pulp, EVA foam or other fitted inserts. The insert should limit movement around the bottle body, base, shoulder and neck without making removal difficult.
The appropriate structure depends on the bottle weight, fragility, number of bottles, distribution method and expected handling conditions. Transit testing with the complete packed product is recommended before large-scale shipping.
Can you manufacture multi-bottle and multi-can carriers?
Yes. Carriers can be designed for multiple bottles or cans using dividers, reinforced handles and weight-distributing bottom structures. The board grade and handle construction must be selected according to the total packed weight rather than the empty package alone.
For heavy products, carrying strength and handle performance should be tested with the final filled containers before production approval.
Can paper beverage packaging resist condensation and moisture?
Moisture-resistant coatings, laminated surfaces and water-resistant board options may improve performance when packaging is exposed to light condensation or short-term handling in humid conditions.
However, paper packaging is not normally waterproof. Prolonged contact with ice, liquid or heavy condensation can reduce its strength. If the product will be displayed in an ice bucket or refrigerated under wet conditions, the actual use environment should be communicated before material selection.
Is beverage packaging suitable for direct liquid or food contact?
The boxes, carriers, bags and presentation sets manufactured by Vigor Packaging are generally secondary packaging. They hold beverages that are already sealed inside bottles, cans, cups, pouches or other primary containers.
Paper packaging does not provide the airtight seal or barrier required to contain a beverage or extend its shelf life. Any component intended for direct food or liquid contact must use materials and coatings suitable for the product and applicable destination-market regulations.
Can you manufacture wine and spirits gift packaging?
Yes. Wine and spirits can be presented in rigid boxes, folding cartons, drawer boxes, two-piece boxes and fabric bags. Inserts can also accommodate glasses, bottle openers, tasting cards and other accessories.
A reusable custom wine bag is suitable for retail gifting and brand presentation, while premium custom gift boxes provide greater structural protection for luxury or limited-edition products.
What printing and finishes are suitable for beverage packaging?
Available options may include CMYK and Pantone printing, matte or gloss lamination, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV and specialty textured paper. Protective finishes should be selected according to handling, abrasion and possible moisture exposure.
Our custom packaging finishes guide compares common techniques by appearance, protection, cost and application. Labels, tasting cards and printed inserts can also be coordinated through our custom packaging accessories range.
Do you offer sustainable beverage packaging options?
Available options may include recyclable paperboard, high-strength corrugated board, kraft paper, recycled-content paper, FSC-certified paper when requested and available, and molded pulp inserts.
Reducing unnecessary material and designing components for easier separation may improve recyclability. However, plastic lamination, foam inserts, adhesives and moisture-resistant coatings can affect local recycling options, so sustainability claims should reflect the complete finished package.
What are the MOQ, sample time and production lead time?
Our standard MOQ is generally 1,000 pieces per design. The final quantity depends on whether the product is a folding carton, rigid box, bottle carrier, corrugated structure or fabric bag. Custom samples normally take 3–7 working days, while mass production generally takes 15–30 working days after sample and artwork approval.
For an accurate quotation, provide the container dimensions and filled weight, packaging style, quantity, materials, printing colors, finishes, insert requirements and delivery destination. If the structure has not been finalized, you can contact our packaging team for recommendations.
